Today is Jeremy's 10th birthday!! I really can't believe it. He is a decade old. I love that little boy so much. He has been such a gift to our family. I really think that children who are born to older parents keep the parents younger. He was born when I was 35. It seemed old at the time and I have to say that I sometimes feel older when I help out at school and I see all of the young moms. My word, I have a married daughter and the other moms are carrying around babies in car seats.
I had to laugh today when Jeremy opened his presents and he got his ipod touch. It was so great that he got it first, before any of his older siblings. ( at least the ones living at home ) Sara and Brady don't count on this one. There was a little bit of envy in some of their eyes. And Jeremy loved it!!
I wish that I could just slow his growing up down a little bit. It feels like life is moving so fast and the days, months and years are passing without me taking enough time to realize it. It's like he is not little anymore, he is on his way to his teenage years. I have loved being a mom and having my kids around me.
Happy Birthday Jeremy. It doesn't matter how old you are, you will always be my baby boy. I love you sweetheart!!!

I really don't like days when my kids are sick or hurt! Lincoln had such a good day yesterday when he was put on the varsity lacrosse team only to go to church basketball and hurting his hip/back again. He came home barely walking. I haven't been to impressed with the sports-medicine doctor that we went to last summer. I called our insurance this morning to find out what they could do to get us into Dr. Toronto. Their answer: nothing. I actually started to tear up. You know I just want the best for my kids and I will pay out of my own pocket to get it. So he has an appointment next Friday. Dr. Toronto will only charge me 50% if I pay at the time of the appointment. It's worth it.
Oh and Jake woke up very sore from crashing yesterday while skiing. It sounds like he crashed pretty bad! Will I survive raising these crazy, wonderful boys? I hope so.

I've decided that I need to start writing about my life. My life would seem boring to some, but I am very happy with the way it has gone so far. Some days are better than others and there are days that my children drive me crazy, but it's a pretty good life and I'm grateful for it!
